Two wrongs don't make a right. The big difference is that you can trash talk the US as you are doing now. In fact, it's fashionable by many politicians who proclaim that US is systemically racist and illegitimately founded (ignoring the fact that many of those who are supposedly oppressed had ancestors who were involved in slave trade and slavery was popular throughout the world at that time...not justifying what happened, just stating the facts). You can't publicly trash talk China as a Chinese citizen living in China or your social credit score will take a hit or you'll get Jack Ma'ed or disappeared. Also, 1 million is nothing compared to:

Although I agree with you that the US has been involved (started) wars where it did not belong, Communist countries have a really horrible history of human rights abuses. Mao, Stalin, Pol Pot, Kim Jong*, etc. They will actually kill the intellectuals and anyone threatening their power to maintain power. And they will kill them by the millions, no problem. An implementation of pure evil.
Despite the US's history of oppression and systemic racism towards black and brown people, there's still a shitload of people coming here (mostly illegally at the moment). No one wants to go to China. It's not seen as a desirable place to live by any measure. Certainly not environmental. It's also in a population collapse due to their very foolish one-child policy. Now they have to incentivize people to have kids. Too late, it won't work.
