Five years on, the Chick-Fila "conroversy" simmers as Jack Dorsey (Twitter) boosted it last month ("pride month"), in a tweet, and got called out by vigilantes who still want to see Chick-Fila fail. Apparently Dorsey had forgot he was supposed to maintain the same, intense level of hatred all these years.

Meanwhile, according to the USA report linked above, actual gays have forgotten or never cared:

So this is anecdotal evidence how people are radicalized, even before the firebrand Trump walks on the national political stage, when general derangement is elevated to whole new levels as mass media continues to make demons and pummel them for clicks.
The Chick-Fila demonization was about as much against what is seen as Christian bigotry, as it was about gay rights, the immediate issue.
Anyone able to garner most of the Christian vote (Trump) will also be demonized by association.
This phenomenon should be kept in mind as it turns out that Putin garners most of the Orthodox Christian vote in Russia.
