The worst environmental catastrophe in human history has started.

The BOP has little effect if the casing is compromised . Ask yourself why the 450 ton BOP is listing.

I do not consider Matt Simmons (a senior advisor to the previous administration) to be a fast talker. Professor Patzek can argue all he wants... His estimates are also based on speculation and unless he has access to privileged information (no indication he does) then he is jumping to conclusions.

He also has made no mention of the findings from the Thomas Jefferson research vessel indicating a massive oil plume miles from the riser. A plume so large that it alone calls into question the "official" flow rate numbers.

Secrecy and silence are no way to manage this crisis. If BP and the government wish to quell the flow of speculation and disinformation then they should make every effort to release the facts and status of this gusher.

Relase the mudlogs,
Release the pressure/flow rates
Release air quality data
Release satelite images
Release the findings of NOAA research vessel

Crisis, dishonesty, disinformation, crisis... wash, rinse, repeat.

Don't you know that BP merged with Amaco a while back, it is an anglo-american company. Also, I can asure you that the 'british' people have about as much say in the actions of BP or any mulitnational company for that matter as the American people have in whether or not Obomba invades another country in the middle east.
To end, the Obama administration gave BP (along with Haliburton) their blessings to drill at 5,000 feet. Let's keep this balanced!

Let's face it obama wants the disaster to be as destructive as possible in order to pass his cap'n tax legislation.


He's confident his lapdog media will insulate him from any responsibility and the environ-MENTAL loons will support him.

Mercury contamination from burning fossil fuels is already much worse than the gulf disaster. We got it because envirocranks would not allow nuclear generation of power and some still won't... so we burn coal and it comes up out of the ground with a lot of other stuff like uranium and mercury and lead and who knows what all... our marine life is badly messed up already and the environuts are fighting amongst themselves... the older I get the more I hate people that can't do the math...
