The wonderful city of New York

Poverty, poor education and easy access to guns are the problem in major cities. This nations right wing gun and social polices are the biggest cause for that imo.

Other wealthy nations don't have the gun, education, healthcare ,wealth inequality and for the rich polices The US has so they don't have the crime and gun violence The US has, even in thier inner cities.

I personally feel you aren't putting any (certainly not enough) blame on the degradation of the family unit. Absent or no fathers is a big part of it.

Poverty is a big part of that.I don't know a single black man with the financial ability to take care of their children and don't or have walked out of their lives.

When an improvised black man cant get a decent job because poor of education or they have to check the been convicted of a felony box on a job application the embarrassment of not being able to take care of their kids often causes them to leave or turn to crime which also causes them to leave through incarceration.

US policy of saying a women who lives in government housing cant have a man living there is also a big problem. In other nations like The UK if a family qualifies for government housing the entire family can live there and men don't leave as much as they do in The US.

Have a listen. Poverty during the Great Depression didn't result in this type of behavior.

Gov. Kathy Hochul plans to deploy the National Guard and the State Police in New York City's subway system after a series of violent crimes.
Ms. Hochul said a large show of force in the system, which is operated by the Metropolitan Transportation Authority, a state agency, would help commuters and visitors to the city feel safe.

Turning up "stop and frisk" to 11, NY Governor says that any New Yorker who insists on their 4th amendment rights and refuse to let national guardsmen to search their bags should "just stay home" because they won't be allowed to ride the subway. Welcome to the new era of public transit. There is a new sheriff in town laying down the law. New York is no longer going to put up with violent criminals on the subway.

For politicians in Washington and New York City, an unprecedented stream of asylum seekers presents an intractable problem with no easy answers. For companies like Tyson Foods Inc., struggling to fill unpleasant jobs with a US unemployment rate of 3.9%, this new population presents an alluring opportunity.

Tyson is joining the nonprofit Tent Partnership for Refugees, which was founded by Chobani yogurt magnate Hamdi Ulukaya, with a plan to hire some of the 181,400 migrants that have come through New York City’s intake system over the past two years. The meatpacker already employs about 42,000 immigrants among its 120,000-strong US workforce.
