Quote from Bickz:
...the article I cited; the things I cited in my first post; TV shows, movies and books such as The Last Temptation of Christ, The Da Vinci Code, Bill Maher's new movie, House (TV Show); various lawsuits filed to ban Christmas trees and nativity scenes; the revival of the Fairness Doctrine which would also hinder Christian programming; the IRS's arbitrary threat to remove tax exempt status from any church that speaks out on political matters; a large number of physical attacks and intimidation on churches and pastors that goes unmentioned in mainstream media; and unheard of number of attacks that occur regularly in Christian chat rooms by atheists seeking to feel their oats and cause trouble; and unknown number of chat rooms dedicated to hating Christianity; YOUR POST and the typical accusations of hate I mentioned in my first post, as well as posting scripture in an attempt to be inflammatory and degrading; the post before yours by the ever so articulate individual who made his first post with that account as to remain anonymous. Welcome to ET!
There, I just gave you many examples across a wide spectrum of genres and peoples of the hate that is being propagated against Christians on a regular basis, and there are plenty more that could be listed. If you were to perpetrate most of those acts on a black person, you would be labeled as a raciest and subject to prosecution for a hate crime. If you do it to Christians, it becomes trendy.
HOw can posting scripture be inflammatory?
1. The DaVinci Code was FICTION, based on a NOVEL. Calling it anti religious is silly at best. It was a good flick.
2. Maher's movie is a free expression of his opinion as protected by the 1st Amd just as the movie made by Mel Gibson was pro religion. Seems fair and balanced to me.
3. Tax exempts by law are not allowed to be partisan. Personally, any 5013c that acts to endorse or support any candidate should lose its status and be subject to fines.
"IRC 501(c)(3) organizations that engage in any political activity may at the discretion of the IRS either immediately lose their tax-exempt status recognition, or be compelled to pay fines."
4.HOUSE-I watch it often and don't find any anti religion in it. I guess if you look hard enough you might as I don't recall him curing anyone via prayer.
5. Any examples of attacks on ministers; I've not heard of any.
6. Why not lawsuits? We are guaranteed a right to this via the laws of the USA. How the suit turns out is what matters; anyone can sue anyone at anytime for just about any reason.
You seem to want to be persecuted.

our next Bible Passages:
"However, you may purchase male or female slaves from among the foreigners who live among you. You may also purchase the children of such resident foreigners, including those who have been born in your land. You may treat them as your property, passing them on to your children as a permanent inheritance. You may treat your slaves like this, but the people of Israel, your relatives, must never be treated this way. " (Leviticus 25:44-46 NLT)
"And when you pray, you must not be like the hypocrites; for they love to stand and pray in the synagogues and at the street corners, that they may be seen by men. Truly, I say to you they have received their reward. But when you pray, go into your room (or closet.) and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret..." (Matthew 6:5-6 RSV).
