McConnell reportedly warned Trump about emergency declaration to build border wall
Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) reportedly warned President Trump this week that declaring a national emergency to build his U.S.–Mexico border wall could create a rift in the GOP conference.
The Washington Post reported Friday that McConnell told Trump the Senate could pass a resolution disapproving the emergency declaration.
Republican sources familiar with the matter told the Post that the Senate leader and the president talked one-on-one Tuesday at the White House.
The reported meeting came amid heightened concerns that the president would declare a national emergency and deploy the military to build the border wall if Congress could not agree to allocate the funds Trump has demanded

This is exactly why many children are separated from the adults they arrive at the border with. Many times the adults are traffickers.
What happened to the thousands that poured into our border from the last two national emergency caravans right before the elections? Oh that's right...they didn't.
The latest rumors are that Trump will use allocated funds for the military to build the wall.
I would be OK with that if they didn't just bump up the military budget next year to make up for it, the military is a bottomless pit of wasteful spending so another useless expense that doesn't involve bombing people is almost better.

Looks like the Dems. will be caving on some border protection funding without getting anything in return. No DACA, no dream act, no TPS, just a bit more money for the private kiddy prisons.
