The release of the SPR was never intended to provide a profit at all, much less cover the cost of Ukraine. But the profit is an unintended bonus for the American people.

You can't possibly call yourself a conservative and be against helping Ukraine defeat Russia. I get that you can be a member of the current Republican party. But the GOP is no longer conservative.

I thought it was interesting given that Biden took a lot of criticism for using the SPR to help combat high prices at the pump. Turns out he mae a good trade. I fucking love good trades.

So what is it about this story that bothers you so much?

To be fair I don’t know if any president using the SPR during times of high oil prices wouldn’t end up making a “profit.” It’s sort of the built in profits when releasing reserves during high prices.

Weakening Russia for the next 20-30 years for the small amount that we are giving Ukraine is one of the biggest bargains in this nations history.

Yeah lets let Biden start another war. Biden supported the Iraq which cost $2.4 trillion, cost a million Iraqi lives and 4,800 US military deaths and the entire thing happened because of a lie. Its funny how no one goes to jail for that, but some protestors walk through an open door at the capital and we spend billions on investigations.

Members of Biden's own party have said he has been dead wrong on every foreign policy decision for the last 50 years.

If Ukraine wants to be independent, it is up to them. That is a very conservative principle.
