I used AWS too - I switched to a Chicago and NYC data centers though because of proximity to the exchange.

that's something I may explore in the future. However, my current setups don't require colocation.

Dipshit, you were the one who said your first post was your last.
You have serious problems.

I hope a court or your parents order you to go see a psychologist.....you obviously wont be doing it yourself. Loser.

BTW, here is the 16 inch USB powered portable monitor for just $99. Lets say you really want to do some traveling and need a truely portable setup.

You can take two laptops and two of these portable monitors then you have a 4 screen setup.

I cannot be truely effective without dual monitors for anything whether it be my regular work or trading.

Since this alias knows nothing about trading, I don't even read past lenovo laptops to know this whole thread is bullshit.

Wait. Are you saying you're one of those guys who can trade without any reference to charts?

Yep, that would be me. Charts are just data flow, they can actually be a hindrance. Most TA is a hindrance. Traders believe, as I once did, that a faster machine, a slicker platform, more screens, etc. will make one a better trader.

Oddly, it was one of my most extreme P&R adversaries that pushed across the finish line. ACD is the last step to no chart trading. I now have the issue of trying to fill very large gaps of time, but one of my sons is old enuf to trade, so I have begun to teach him.

Showboat. :p

Much as I'd like to, I cannot do much without a basic chart. I agree that most of TA is a..."hindrance" (vey PC of you), and I think that anything other than the barest of bones is only so much Rorschach inkblots. As for your subsequent ACD reference, I find it a bit too blunt, somewhat like performing surgery with mittens. I'm not suggesting it has no value but, in my opinion, it lacks subtlety in the area of risk control, as it relates to both entry and protective exit.

In any event, I do wish I could just watch streaming T&S to the exclusion of all else, but it is not to be.

Acer Iconia Tab W 500 has a USB port that can be used to plug in a mouse.

I have this tablet and I use it with only mouse . Windows 7 touch interface is frankly unusable for trading.
It is very heavy 3.48 lb ( vs ipad 1.4 4 lb) but it was the only Windows 7 tablet available when I purchased it. Practically it can be only used with a dock.
The plus side is all the trading platforms/charts can be installed on it which eliminates the need for remote logon.

Newer W7 tablets like Asus Eslate are better - 4 GB ,12.1 '' screen , 2 USB and 2.56 lb

I believe an ideal mobile rig( for a manual trader) would be
Ausus Zen book( or Eslate)

+

AOC portable USB LED monitor
http://www.amazon.com/AOC-E1649FWU-USB-Powered-Portable-Monitor/dp/B005SEZR0G/ref=pd_cp_pc_0

Just ordered AOC monitor last night.

The rig wold look something like this :

Would be pretty potable to carry both in a laptop bag.

Does anyone know if any of the Tablets have capability of using wired mouse or a wireless mouse that is just like a 3 button wired?

Would like to not have to lug around my 17", I know less screen size but give and take in almost anything.

Thanks

So you're tape reading? I've always wondered where to get that service, unless it's just the time and sales window.

You are exactly right, ACD are mittens. Now, when you see that, you are going to take them off and then question why Fisher would want you to wear mittens.

My process found that he doesn't. He wants you realize that if all you are doing is drawing lines in the sand on the chart, then go forward and just find lines in the data itself.
