The Ultimate DAX Scalping Discussion Thread!

I just recently made the move from jtrader and IB using ninjatrader recently to Xtrader. It really is a much more solid trading platform. You have to trade enough size to justify the platform fee but if you're trading for a living it seems to be a necessary tool imo.

A very good frontend plug-in that kind of models itself on x-trader (but nothing approaches x-tarder as I understand it)
See gif for picture of BT platform

It's a very funny coincidence you mention llama compost. That's exactly what I'm doing. I have some friends who have 6 llama and 6 minature donkeys. I made a deal with them, I lend them the use of my front end loader to move the compost piles in exchange for a years supply of llama compost. Very good stuff, lots of hay and llama stuff mixed together yield some awesome vegetables come spring.

The yield on the compost is almost terrifying. LOL we weighed one carrot last year and it was about 3 1/2 pounds. Our citrous is a better example though. One weird lemmon like tree is making fruit at sizes that are largr than grapefruits. We make very large gin and fruit and vodka and fruit drinks. One of these babies juiced lasts a whole evening in a suitable bev container.

A photog did our place as a result of curiousity about "what are they growing in that place?". At this point we sometimes get accosted with comments like: "I know who you are, you are the llama people."

What fun it all turns out to be.

Liz is on the board of a seed company at this point. Just unbelievable. It wouldn't be fair to use photos in their catalogues.

We are going to make cork bats this year for the majors out of zuccinis. Have you ever seen a rabbit explode in your garden???

No And most of the time all trading comes down to the combinations and permutations of very few variables. Since these (C and P's) are usually sequential a person simply migrates from one set to another as the market pace and volatility shift through the day.

.
Good stuff!

Yep.
I might take trial on X-trader with Mark and velocity futures in mid-2004

Good luck. Keep us informed. PS. Where is Mark? I don't hope he's arrested by NFA/FBI.

I've been out of town for the holidays. I'll be more active once the new year begins.

Good to hear! I was wondering if VF is thinking of offering the Hang seng and Nikkei in the future?

Thanks for your reply. I think that there are some advantages to trading the holidays. With so many floor brokers away on holiday, the second string guys/gals are on watch, and that provides opportunity. For instance, if you are able to anticipate a late day reversal (common in the energy complex, meats, or indexes) and you can get "to the door" before the rest of the crowd, you can buy/sell into the late rush and make a nice profit. I think you are right to try to maintain some balance regarding trading. If at some point however, you want to try this strategy, PM me.
