The U.S. "Trucker Convoy"

Hey Stranger, What's for lunch?

Last I heard there were about three million truck drivers in the US. We are quite a diverse group, in spite of how we may be sometimes depicted in the media. Our community includes a former basketball star and a physicist, among other notables.

If you got it, thank a trucker.

The People’s Convoy Can’t Stop Their Own Dogs From Peeing on Their Food

Many things have given the People’s Convoy problems, from Beltway commuters flipping them off to their vehicles breaking down on the interstate to legislators on Capitol Hill not meeting with them. But now, in California, they have a new issue on their hands: Their own dogs are urinating on their food. “I do have to do something about the dogs,” trucker Ron Coleman, who goes by the alias Grey Wolf, said over the weekend. “I am trying to figure out how to be sensitive enough to let the people with the dogs know that their dogs are peeing on our food.” “We caught male dogs peeing on it,” he continued while stressing that “food has to be thrown away” that was urinated on by the canines at their makeshift camp. “We cannot have the dogs where we are keeping the food.” Following Coleman’s declaration, members of the convoy at the campsite were left to argue over where dogs at the camp should and shouldn’t be allowed to roam. Since leaving the Washington, D.C., area, the anti-COVID-19 vaccine convoy has drastically become smaller, with most losing interest after accomplishing very little besides burning fuel.

People’s Convoy Leader Exiled by Fellow Co-organizers

The People’s Convoy, perhaps best known for wreaking havoc on the Beltway around the Washington, D.C. area and more recently being plagued with the issue of having their own dogs pee on their food, now is experiencing infighting among its ranks. Since making it to Hagerstown, Maryland, in early March, they had appointed Ohio native and fellow trucker Brian Brase as their leader, but as of Friday, he’s been ousted as the group continues on their voyage through California. “Brian Brase is no longer an organizer nor affiliated with The People’s Convoy and does not have the authority to speak on behalf of The People’s Convoy,” a notice on The People’s Convoy’s website declares. However, in a midday Friday live stream, Brase responded to the news and said he wouldn’t stand for being “muzzled” or “controlled.” “You can’t stop me from speaking,” he continued. Elsewhere, rank and file members of The People’s Convoy were attacking co-organizer Marcus Summers, who was tasked with managing the money for the group that was given north of $2 million in donations. (Neither Brase nor The People’s Convoy returned The Daily Beast’s Friday evening request for comment.)

Members of the "Trucker's Convoy" whose aim was to shut Washington DC down by snarling traffic and blocking roads with their rigs are suing the DC police saying the cops violated their rights by erecting traffic barriers to keep them from doing that. Yep, they can't get much stupider than this.
