Look at the end of the day the index is were the index is.

The surprising thing for me was that it was 150 pts down and then it closes 150 points up thats a big swing for an index.

Any 300 pt swing in such a short time seems strange, but at the end of the day we trade the number on the screen, who knows if its right or wrong.
 
The blog is ok, although it does posses some key elements about the housing. Otherwise, Is there a reason why he is so nrgative all the time?
 
i think we have all come to reckonize that when the markets are down and look like they will go further there has been a recent pattern over the last few years.

going in to the closes and on key technical support lines huge bids come into the indicies via the futures.

i noticed this back earlier this year when the dow was around 12000 and making lows at 11800.

dont know who it was and lots of rumours of the old ppt but it could be genuine orders from genuine investors.

one thing is for sure that whenever these stock markets look like they are falling through the floor on good fundamentals they seem to stage an amazing turn around.

genuine or not it throws me completely.
