The Truth about venture Capitalism you wont hear from the far left media.

Quote from Maverick74:

I would have grown the economy through free markets instead of taking money out of Peter's pocket and putting into Paul's. No value is actually created when money simply gets transferred. Create incentives for capital to grow, expand, take risks, invest, etc. Welfare creates complacency not innovation. Nobody wants to be poor. But when you become their pimp, they are willing to settle. The left in this country has done a fine job of convincing blacks that they will never be able to make it on their own. They scare them with rhetoric about the powerful white man. The worst thing you can do Ron to a person is to kill their dreams. That's what communism did in old Russia. You take away their dreams, you take away their soul. All that's left is for them to follow orders. People rather be free and broke then bought and paid for with a lifetime in perpetual servitude to the government.

Oh, this argument again, I should have known you would spit chapter and verse to me.

So far, you nor anyone else has ever answer the question of how has business changed that would allow the elimination of regulations that had to be put in place because of abuses by those businesses?

Trickle down? Really? You still believe that crap?

I didn't say elimination of ALL regulations. We have 10k regulations when we could have 10 and actually enforce them. As it stands now, we have regulations that are written by lobbyists from large corporations that enable to create the very injustices you rail about. How is that for irony?

Give me your ten, Mav. I really want to know. Hong Kong is killing us, I will admit in this area. So, what ten regulations are needed to make businesses do right by their workers AND their communities?

Quote from Brass:

Venture capital firms serve a very tangible economic purpose. No one disputes this fact. No one. Corporate raiders are an ugly distant cousin. They serve little economic purpose other than for themselves and themselves alone at the expense of anyone who either gets in their way or in their sights. Can you make this distinction? If so, then your thread is pointless. The underlying question is whether Romney was engaged in corporate raiding, and the evidence thus far suggests that Gingrich's SuperPac overstated it. I would, in fact, be interested to see an objective assessment from an independent observer.

Why the strawman, Max? Why not just address the issue in good faith? Why the need to make a Gingrich-style overstatement to support an underlying narrative?

Quote from RCG Trader:

Indeed, because as Newt said down in Dixie, Pres. Obama gave away more food stamps than any other President. Of, course in the land of the GOP, and it's libertarian division, they were all black or Mexicans, or gay.

No, that's the media's way of portraying the 'code words' to the idiots of the left.

Considering that the majority of people on food stamps are white, what makes what Newt says racist?

Perception is politics, and this is straight out of the Reagan, welfare queen playbook, but you know this already. I hope, otherwise, you might want to study up before you get hurt down here:D

Quote from OccupyThis:

Well then, explain yourself.

Painting an entire group on a subsection of that group is prima facie racist.

He has stated that blacks, not "some blacks" should want jobs and not food stamps speaks to several notions about his philosophy, or the philosophy he is trying to espouse to Dixie.

You knew this already, I hope, and are here to argue. Please make more compelling arguments.
