I hear ya. It's all about pct. moves not constant dollars.

maybe it would be better to say that at times - perhaps lots of times - the aggregate of all the willful market actions can look random. personally i prefer "noisy" to "random" because noisy allows for an underlying signal.


Yeah, it's a fact that most breakouts/breakdowns tend to be false moves. It's very hard to grow the account if you're trading the 'noise' or the 'random' moves - which is what a lot of daytraders who overtrade and feel that they always have to have and open position in the market do. It's better to wait for the moves with real strong conviction behind them - and yeah that is a matter of perception.
