It's the old monopoly game view of the world. We are the largest economy so we need to give other countries our money so they can play the game. Only they don't understand the rules.

Nobody in any political threads from the left side in the past couple months ever praised Hilary Clinton for being one of the most suitable candidates in American history. She had her fair share of issues some of which ongoing. Nobody ever denied that.

BUT everybody except the most gullible and unfortunately a lot of the less educated believe that Trump cares about the economy or for that matter anything but himself. Heck, there is a fair chance that should he ever be elected that he will quit 3 months into it just to write another book and to sit at his home with a big golden crown on his head masturbating and laughing his ass off how he mislead everyone. That man has much more corpses in his closet than Hilary and Bill ever had combined. Trump is a man who by most everyone who knows him is disliked for his over promising and under delivering, disrespected for his selfish attitude to life, and actual lack of sound business practices. Hilary is not a great pick. But she runs circles around him in terms of leadership and experience acumen.

That's an interesting perspective but most of us stupid righties believe trump will attempt to do exactly what he says. His record on the issues - specifically trade and immigration - have been remarkably consistent over the last 30 years. We know Hillary is a globalist operative. She's more of the same - open borders, off shoring, more pc crap And gun control. You want that, then there's not much common ground between us. Trump represents a real and credible shot to turn around the globalist agenda.
 
Finally, I hear of one thing about a Drumpf presidency that would help me personally: repeal FATCA. It's not enough... but it's a start. :)

Voters who have relied on the network evening newscasts for information about the 2016 presidential candidates saw four times more airtime devoted to controversies involving presumptive GOP nominee Donald Trump than to the scandals surrounding his Democratic rival Hillary Clinton.

Indeed, the only Clinton scandal to receive more than a minimal amount of attention from the networks during the primaries was the ongoing investigation of Clinton’s use of a private e-mail server and her mishandling of classified information while serving as Secretary of State. The networks paid little or no attention to a host of other Clinton controversies that likely would have been big news if they had been associated with her GOP opponent.
