There has been press on the matter for some time and in varying amount of detail. I'm still waiting for some extreme vetting of Citizen Donald.
 
People in business can unwillingly get involved into "unorthodox" things.
Surely, Trump must have known that he would be vetted by ALL Us agencies.
I think every countries are reporting what they know about Trump
or his associates.

Manafort, I am reading was deeply involved with some
very cruel dictators https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2016/apr/27/paul-manafort-donald-trump-campaign-past-clients and also lately with some foreigners with non-recommandable ties.
We are not so keen on politicians with "unrecommandable ties" as sooner or later it leads
to civilians deaths ( https://www.theguardian.com/world/2010/nov/18/sarkozy-kickbacks-pakistan-arms-sales)

Could not the Republicans vet their candidates before they present themselves.
All these stories make overseas people wonder what type of party is the Republican one.

Trump to Receive Classified Intelligence Briefing

Donald Trump will receive a classified intelligence briefing on Wednesday in New York, a federal official confirms.

The Office of the Director of National Intelligence will conduct the briefing, making use of a secure FBI facility.

Such briefings have been conducted since the 1950s for presidential candidates in the general election. But Director of National Intelligence James Clapper said last month at the Aspen Security Conference that the briefings during the campaign are "fairly general."
