A company controlled by Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump secretly conducted business in Cuba in the late 1990s in violation of the long-running trade embargo, Newsweek will report on Friday, citing interviews with former executives, internal company records and court filings.

That was according to an MSNBC report which aired late on Thursday.

Documents indicated that the Trump company, then called Trump Hotels & Casino Resorts, spent at least $68,000 in 1998, with Trump's knowledge, funnelling the cash through a consulting firm so that it could appear legal by tying it to an after-the-fact charitable endeavour, the report said.

While the Newsweek report has not yet been published, the article's writer, Kurt Eichenwald, tweeted that MSNBC would be breaking the findings of his investigation.

Trump's campaign did not immediately return an emailed request for comment sent outside office hours.

He also warned that unless CNN, which is hosting the debate, promises to forbid the use of facts, he might pull out of Monday’s contest. “I’m only going to debate if I’m treated fairly, and facts don’t treat me fairly,” he said.

This is not so surprising as it might seem. It is well known that facts have a liberal bias. Trump's warning that Hillary may make use of facts should be taken seriously!

explain how taking in more immigrants which could be terrorists is good for the country
how more immigrants is good for wages
how arming terrorists in the middle east was good for stability
how giving nukes billions to Iran is good for global peace
how giving the internet away is good for americans free speech rights.
