The true (in a sense) cost of military spending and what else it could have bought

Quote from DAS Trader:
Then you are full of shit kid. You were all too happy to provide details, even details I didn't ask for. Once I found the cracks in your story you pull back? I can now safely say you are not a Marine. Have a nice day.
Here you go, douche bag! These details are not mine, but they corroborate the ones I gave.

Eric
20 Aug 1982
MCRD San Diego
3rd Battalion
Platoon 3048

SDI: Gunnery Sergeant Caballero

DI: SSgt Faulkner
DI: Whitehead
DI: SSgt Stewart
DI: GSgt Faus (can't remember the spelling, he left us after 1st phase)

I guess your sources are inadequate.

Man are you all over the place. What happened to liking your freedom of speech and not wishing to provide any more details?

Let's see what you decided to provide. DI Whitehead? Was he a civilian? GSgt Faus? Can't remember how to spell his name? Eric can't remember the proper abbreviation for GySgt either. So, Eric mis-typed some information, omitted some information, and by your own admission this is not you...that's what you call proof? Not in my book.

The details provided only corroborate that you went to a fb page and cut and pasted someone's information that, at present, appears to be inconsistent with open source information. Maybe "Eric" mis-typed the year or maybe he is full of shit. I have no way of knowing. That would not be enough to definitively say you are lying though. It's that plus the other things I've noted. Class of 82? Really? You "believe" you graduated in August? That just strains credibility.

Moreover, your attitude is not consistent with someone who is both a Marine and 9 years older than I am. According to you you are around 48 years old, a Marine, and all you seem to like to do is call other people dumb....you come off like a teenager, or someone in their early 20's, or a monkey at a zoo...I really can't decide. If you wish to clear your "good" name you'll need to go a bit further.

What was your MOS?

Where did you attend your MOS school?

What duty station did you go to immediately after MCRD San Diego?

You can remember all that can't you (be advised there will be additional followup questions so decide now how far you want to take this)?

Off topic??? -

So am I correct in that DAS, RCG and Petsamo are all former Marines?

As am I...
:D

Funny.

No, I am not a Marine, I am not that crazy:D

I chose something more sane like the Army. Marines all have a death wish, jk, jarheads:D

Yep, those little details like that are very hard to fabricate to someone who was actually in the process. Things like MOS and AIT really hang em high:D

Sup Devil Dog! RCG is Army and Petsamo is having trouble remembering key details. I am not convinced he is Marine at this point but the jury is still out. As an example he referred to his boot camp platoon as "class of 82". Weird right?

I looked up the platoon he says he graduated with (3048 MCRD San Diego) and it graduated two years before he said he did. Weird right?

He also said "he believed" he graduated in August... maybe it's just me but Boot Camp made quite an indelible impression. I will never forget that I arrived in Parris Island in August of 1990 and graduated in November 1990. More weirdness.

Here is a pic of Platoon 3048 which graduated in August of 1980, not 1982.

It's almost like someone is feeding him details. He capitalized Marine. Good. He knew going to San Diego meant you were a "Hollywood Marine". Good. But the rest strains credibility. I'll still give him the benefit of the doubt but I am very skeptical right now.

Aint that the truth that BCT leaves it's mark. You know the day you came, and the day you left. I lost all ten of my toenails after the road march back home, I graduated with a tennis shoe profile:D

Small details that you just cannot make up:)

The commander-in-chief authorized the military to kill a terrorist and key member of Al-Qaeda who made himself a military target by waging war against the United States. For all intents and purposes he was killed on the battlefield. That's not murder and nobody's going to impeach Obama over it either, despite Paul's blowhard rants.
Quote from DAS Trader:

It's called the rule of law you nimrod. Learn it. Know it. Understand it. The President does not have the Constitutional authority to simply murder a citizen, no matter what that citizen is accused of. Remember innocent until PROVEN guilty? His guilt was never proven. That's about as cut and dry as I can make it for you.

Issue with this.

The point, and it is valid, partisanship aside, brother to brother, is that he should have been taken alive and then hanged.

Nuremberg.

Yep, my guy killed him, great. A point for my side, but if you really want to take this discussion to another level 666, he should been taken alive, tried, found guilty, and then hanged.

That is the penalty for Treason.

You keep leaving out the US citizen part. US citizens are afforded due process even if they commit treason. I've shown you the pertinent part of the Constitution and you, like our President, are pretending it does not apply.

Also, did you know we killed his 16 yr old son, who was also a US citizen, and not accused of a single thing. Is that also not murder?
