the trend is up, market has bottomed.

watch out Freud...

LOL! what a pack of morons!

Negative? ME??? Sorry guys, I can say with all honesty that that simply COULD NOT BE FURTHER FROM THE TRUTH. (although it was once true..)

dotslashidiot, since you asked...yeah, i was beaten as a child (if you think that somehow makes me a worse human being, than you are sadder than all of us..) and since i'm at it, i was a street kid too, and lived on the wrong side of the tracks for a LONG time. (you learn a thing or two, believe me) i'm 25 now, and a few years ago, a key life changing event occurred (i got living shit kicked out of me and left for dead, and it was my fault). from that day buddy i have never looked back! do u realise how tough it is to go from a mindless nobody to achieving something worthwile? the trials and tribulations, the endless bouts of selfdoubt you face?? could a person with a negative disposition do such a thing?? NO FREAKN WAY!!

I submit that you are simply blind to the nature of the game you play! Don't you realise that, as traders, we're all competing for the same buck? That is very different to most other pursuits in life. Eg, when i was a sales team leader i had a vested interest in seeing everyone in my team do well. and do well they did. my team lead the division in sales every month. trading is totally different ball game, it's every man for himself.

having said that, sure, it feels good to help out someone sometimes...if i feel they deserve it (and arent' just sitting around and waiting for handouts).

I don't. I think he has some issues that money wont cure no matter how much he makes.

Well Mike I did not say that I respected what he said, just that I respected that he said it without much reflection on how it would be taken by the rest of his trading bretheren... The man may be a dick with a twisted way of deriving pleasure but at least he is a genuine dick :) And I respect a genuine dick more than I respect an artificial saint! :D

Publias

EDIT;

Just for the record Daniel I was not implying that I thought you were a dick, just that others may have had that perception of you and that at least it was genuine :)

I just haven't been proven wrong in my time frame yet. Just like you said.

I will post a chart of the NDX in a few months. Showing where I called the bottom, how low we went, and then how high the market ran up. Only with this kind of visual hindsight will some people figure out the time frame thingy.

This topic has taken on a mind of it's own, and just become usless banter. I do feel like i've been abused on ET for sharing my thoughts even though I've never abused anyone personally here.

As to my character or trading abilities, I don't really care what people think.

I now understand the frenzy of this crowd. My doom on this board had nothing to do with my success or failure. As we can see with my sleepless nights thread, I showed in realtime that it's possible to predict the outcome of the market, it's possible to make wildly insane profits beyond anyones dreams, and it's possible to do so by doing something different and bucking against the herd. I showed success at it's greatest heights.

Now with this thread, even though few understand the time frame I am in, many have labled my efforts a failure.

On both boards I was ridiculed, verbally attacked, and so on, not because of my successes or failures, but because I was different; because i bucked the crowd. I posted stuff that was different, unique, and confident.

I want to thank those who were willing to share their knowledge, and those that appreciated my posts, and those that didn't care either way.

I post here for fun, I lurk here to learn, and I will eventually be driven from here as an outcast among outcasts.

I'm done with this thread.
you're free to say whatever you want, but if you create a thread for yourself called, "the trend is up, market has bottomed" during a bear market, you should expect a lot of criticism.

Lundy,

I'll go out on a limb to back you up. Today is indeed the low (the weekly low for this week). Everything beyond that and my crystal ball is all hazed up.

:D

Chas you're way in over your head about most things you post about, so no different this time around. Wanna know my term for a person that proffers opinions on matters he has no clue about? An idiot.
(on a side note, i'd be really interested in hearing just how the existence (alleged, imo) of Jesus constitutes a "truth". PM with an answer if u like.)

The answer to your question is in the post you are responding to.

was that directed to me? cos if was, i totally agree. You know, i wasn't the one that went on the attack here. I make one comment, share how I feel, and I get analysed as a negative, sadistic asshole!

(and I'm sure that after the fight was over, each gladiator thought, "man, i'm glad it was him and not me..)

Lundy - just a reminder that this is a free Internet board where people write words anonymously. Don't attach more significance to it than is necessary, and I wouldn't let anything posted here effect you personally. JMHO.

I agree. Though I'm sure you, too, would agree, rs7, that (without proffering an opinion on lundy's trading) traders, as a group, derive a great deal of gratification watching someone lose money.

You are in way over your head. What was the term for that? Speak for yourself, please. All the traders I know do not have the time or the inclination to derive gratification from (much less to watch) someone lose money.

Okay. I may be wrong. I'll restate my comment then. I personally derive a sense of pleasure (not a "great deal" of, but some) when I hear about someone losing a lot of money. Eg, if the next Niederhoffer came on the news tonight and it was stated that he lost his net worth, yeah, that'd get a smile and a giggle out of me.

You people have read WAY TOO MUCH into this. The "pleasure" is momentary, a smile, a laugh, and that's it! Forgotten! What'd you think, something like that made the year worth living for me???
