I wonder though are you really happy with this as a profession,
or do you see yourself going into other work once you made your
money? I guess I am asking myself this question as well. Frankly
to set in front of a day trading screen seems very unapealing to
me. The meaning of your life, well is it worth it? On the other
hand it beats living on a street corner or digging ditches

Democracyman, in order to make a living in this business, you have to love doing it, if you're here only cos you NEED money and not cos you LOVE the game, you wont be successful, the biggest players such as Bruce Covner and others could do it only for scores even if money wouldnt be involved. if you love the intelectual challeneg and you're competitive enogugh and a risk taker you can make it

Humility

I love it when people mention this word,

to me this word means WEAK.

As someone said, Show me someone with out an ego, and I'll show you a huge loser.

coolweb, by saying this you just proved us that you're a SUCKER!!! you go against the axiom that newbies usually go. if you read Steve Cohen's interview in Stock Market Wizards you know that he makes his most $$$ only out of 5% of his trades. what it means for you? MOST OF THE TIME HE'S WRONG! Why Steve is in 400 richest of US list? cos he has NO EGO and can admit when he's wrong. As Steve said your first posts were humble, me=stupid was said like 10 times, so i thought you're at least a guy without ego, but it turns out you're not. its your choice, but from greatest traders experience those who GOT EGO ARE LOSERS!!!
"The best traders have no ego. You have to swallow your pride and get out of the losses."
Tom Baldwin -Started trading with $25,000, now trades up to $2 billion worth of T-bond futures a day

Don't have an ego. Always question yourself and your ability. Don't ever feel that you are very good. The second you do, you are dead. I know that to be successful, I have to be frightened. Don't focus on making money; focus on protecting what you have.
- Paul Tudor Jones
Turned $1.5 million into $300 million in five years

I turned from a loser to a winner when I was able to separate my ego needs from making money.
Marty Schwartz
Won Stanford University's Investing Championships and has earned as much as 781% return in a single trading year

i agree with Steve, you're a JOKE!

My little duckling, Who told you I had no ego?

I have the ego the size of mountain rushermore,

I only date the best looking women
I only work when theres lots of money invovled
I only drive the best cars I like
I only eat the best quality food

I don't want a normal ipod, I want a diamond encrusted ipod

And this makes me only want the best of the best.

Dood, WHO told you that I didn't have an ego?

I want to find out who and when and torture him silly.

Just to comment since I like to help out relatively newbies, All kidding aside.

Notice how they all mention losses, Notice how I always emphasis risk in all my posts.

Then you will know why I am successful
with or without the biggest ego on my side of the city.

You have much to learn. Less herd following, more brain thinking.

Barli,
You must think I need to impress people,
I don't, I'm impressive already as you already know by how I act.

You don't have to detail out the steps on how you drive your car to show me you know how to drive a car.

What I accomplish and learn in 3 months is what people take 5 years to do and still aren't anywhere, I can do a cummaltive gain of 35% easy right now and constantly improving, with leverage 5x 10x , Well Thats obvious what kind of player you are talking to.

I know all the half assed veterans are pissed at me on how skilled I am so fast, maybe if you lightened up I might actually teach you something if you are good little boy.

Don't worry what I will become in a year or two, Thats obvious, worry about what you will become and if you can touch my progress.

Barli, this would be my last comment to you until you smarten up.

coolweb, your entire behaviour is not a trader's one, its rather unethical. theres nothing to learn from unethical traders with BIG EGOS
