If you are going to trade futures, you need to know when economic data is being released. Did you know Beige book was being released this afternoon?
 
Steve, do you trade with an eye on the news? My experience have basically led me to block all noise and that includes news except maybe something huge like US going to War with China.

I got my charts and tech analysis on my screen and that's all I care to know on a day to day basis.
 
I work at a trading firm so we are all on the trading floor and get fed economic news by our news desk. Its a good thing to know about important economic #'s because you can really capitalize when the #'s are released.

Missed a few signals, around 10890 and also 10870, but
learned some new ideas about volume

so All good.
Put new idea into toolbox.

One day, We will sweep 100 points.
With no risk.
With 50+ contracts.

50 contracts are for CLOSERS.

I am like 1/4 Closer at the moment. So I don't even get coffee, probably poland spring water bottle at most.


Need to keep on making big profitable trades to up contracts.

The pressure is on.
 
what's your stop with 7+ contracts? just curious. Don't worry, I won't ask about your strategy. I trade QM, EUR, JPY, ES, and YM but my stops are not too tight so I'm just curious.
