Surprised there was not even an attempt to try and get all athletes willing to get vaccinated since they will all be living in close proximity. Notice which countries are getting positive tests from their athletes.

The IOC should required that all attending athletes and representatives be vaccinated prior the games.... and provided vaccines in their home countries (or region) a month in advance. Those who do not want to be vaccinated would have the option to not attend.
The winners on the podium will be those who somehow avoid COVID-19.

Complete with a video of an Irish gymnast demonstrating reality by jumping up & down on the Olympic beds. These beds are actually build out of pressed wood -- as is the rest of the furniture. The beds are very sturdy.
I first heard about the cardboard box beds at the Olympic Games on Friday...
The first image in my head was something like this.
Yet, a friend sent me an email with the below images that he downloaded from the TMZ website to remove the above visual from my mind.
His daughter is on the U.S. Olympic Rowing Team and she's a big gal. Then I thought about those heavy big people like Shot Puters, Boxing Heavyweights, and Basketball Team.
The IOC must have solved that problem by just putting in an extra middle section...from two to three pieces unless the two-piece board section is large enough of all sizes.
Then I thought about how insidious the IOC really is. I think after the Olympic Games gets started...they probably thought about Covid outbreaks occurring within the Olympic Village.
The IOC must have a plan to just burn the beds...after quarantine and after the Olympic Games have completed. Much easier now considering they are made of cardboard boxes.
In the military, I've slept on tank trails with tanks moving by 20 feet away, slept in trees for several hours, and slept out in the snow during a blizzard...
I think I can endure sleeping on a futon-like mattress on top of cardboard boxes.
I wonder if the IOC got their idea of carboard box beds from the Japanese Nomad lifestyle of building cardboard furniture.

Have no intention of watching the Olympic games. When you have extreme liberal athletes promoting their Anti-American agendas, who really cares anymore? Also, karma could pay these asswipes a visit and give them Corona Virus. That would be poetic justice with their foul mouths and intolerance, disrespecting the US flag and anthem.

The Ariake Gymnastics Centre, is a scheduled venue for artistic, rhythmic and trampoline gymnastics events during the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.
The gymnast has no symptoms and is quarantined in her hotel room while she waits for the public health center to decide on whether or not to hospitalize her.
One gymnast has been identified as a close contact of the gymnast who tested positive.
Tokyo 2020 reported Monday that there are 58 Covid-19 cases linked to the Olympic Games.
