The Time Has Come !

Saxon22, in my opinion, you are impatient.
Put some money down, and learn the meaning of patience.

- No offence.

Why???? Because after reading up for more than a year, being positive on a sim for more than 4 months I think I need to go live?? I would say that most of the people on ET have gone live way before that. Be that as it may, what do you suggest? I am open to ideas. Like I stated before, I am profitable on ths sim, every day. I stick to most of my rules. I have a written plan, rules and regulations. The three rules I sometimes do not follow are:

1. Size - I cannot stick to 1 contract and sometimes when I see that the market is going to move I put 5 or even 10 contracts in play. So far I have been right almost all the time.

2. Stop Loss - Since many a time, I only go for 1 point in the market I get taken out of a play often, so I have to place it at 3 points to stay in the game. So far it has not come back to bite me, but I am afraid that it might once I start live trading.

3. Overtrading - I feel that I need to be in all the time. Of course I am not in all the time, but the desire is there. Consequently, I sometimes take trades that are more risky and that I would not take if more contracts were at play.

Other than those three, I am rock solid.
:D :D :D :D :D :D

Btw. No offence taken! :D

glad to here you have been in business and know about costs and risks and discipline and profiting at a pace. So if you have a system other than a feel ,start trading ,even with a system it is still very hard,if this is really what you want to do then committ yourself to learn as much as you can, my security blanket is the market profile and drawing trendlines, everbody has something to turn to when confidence starts to wane

Trade one contract with same level of seriousness as fifty. Let the account grow on its own organically, and you'll do perfectly fine. If you try to go from two contracts to ten to twenty to fifty by adding funds, you set yourself up for all kinds of emotional tilts and traps.

Focus on trading correctly and with discipline... the size will take care of itself. You've been given the same sound advice by several other traders in here. We're all rootin' for ya to win!

Thank you for sound advice. I will take to the hart as I respect and value your opinion. Thanx! :D :D

Well guys, this morning I sent 6K to Open E Cry. They should get it by the end of the next week (April 14). Then, there is that mandatory 5 day period for the funds to clear and I will be good to go. I have had a horrible flu and as a result the last 10 days were hellish. I literally could not get out ofthe bed and was emitting more heat than my boiler. However, I am as good as new now and ready for the market. This coming week is my final test on the sim and I am hoping to be LIVE by the third week of April.

All the best, Sax.

The first month is the worst, find supportive friends after trading.
