Welfare culture has to be severely corrected. Even South American illegals fare better than the locals while still finding funds to send back home. How come these illegals find the jobs with low pay and no benefits? Because Americans on welfare do not want to do that work.

i believe that permanent welfare cycle is one of the clearest forms of racism as those who stay on it never "grow" in life. they are simply held permanently down; and i believe the dems who push this know this.

You might be right partially but then government is also trying to protect the kids of these single moms from falling into further misery and landing on streets as criminals etc. In third world countries, poor kids are often thrown into slavery like situation to beg and steal on streets. 95% of homeless and hookers on the US streets are not there due to some social or medical compulsion but they are slaves to addiction like drugs and alcohol etc.

Instead of providing hefty welfare, government should provide free baby sitting and free healthcare type deals where by single mom can go out to work and infuse some work ethics into her children without a father figure. Once the threat of medical costs are mostly negated, a person can take more chances of coming out of the protective shell of social services.

On the otherhand the corporate welfare also has to end where CEOs earns millions for mere 6 months of work or contract.

The right healthcare program for the poor would do wonders for America. So many of the poor have at least one family member in bad health that the thought of losing Medicaid is impossible to entertain. We can rage on and on against their lack of initiative, bad work ethic ... etc. but to not fix this single glaring killer of a problem is simply insanity.

#1 cause of family bankruptcy in America is related to sudden medical costs.

Lack of free healthcare is outright EVIL for any country in the world.

Worst in America to get a pair of stitches for a kid hurt on playground.........it can cost good $200 to $2000. That is outright NONSENSE !! Harp as much as you want that US has the best healthcare in the world, but I am not buying this EVILNESS presented with glitter and shine.

A Healthy country is a Prosperous country !!

ps: there should be free healthcare for all, irrespective of income status. items like free baby sitting or medicine purchase etc. can be based on income just like college loans etc.
