Well I am glad you found "substance" in it... I can't speak for "ALL" and I am by no means arrogant enough to delude myself into thinking I have found the "secret" to getting past the human condition... I just know for me through direct experience, not to be confused with just mere philosophy, that this is indeed the path I should be on, both in life and trading...

I'm gonna take that funny cats advice and go try to get laid tonight, so until another time Faster...

Commisso once again hits the nail on the head. What if you traded in a vacuum. Completely unaware of how any trade effected your equity curve. Can any one deny that this state of detachment from pain or potential reward would be trading nirvana?

very interesting, by "wins and losses are really the same" i take it you mean that each are part of the same game and that not only do you accept this fact and the concept of losses but you actually desire losses because each is part of the same "whole" (ie the Game) and for there to be wins, there must also be losses. in the vein of a Yin & Yang. Black & White. Matter & Anti-Matter etc. am i getting this right? for wins to exist there must also be losses, therefore the trader should gleefully accept these losses with gratitude and with almost a sense of spiritual fullfillment as this completes the circle --losses( )wins--each a part of the same. is this right??

you can achieve this state ....it's called prop trading with OPM haha who gives a kcuf!
 
People disagreeing is a perfect example of why markets even exist. People have different realities. And reality is just an agreement, whether between two people or between yourself and your ego. And if all people would have the same reality, markets would not exist.

So let's just accept the reality of the markets, and trade.

AS for the rest, I have to say that I am truly sorry to see the thread get destroyed like this... BUTI have learned a few important lessons from all of you, so for that I thank you

Sorry to say that Publias but YOU BROUGHT IT UPON YOURSELF If you have really spent time with Eastern philosophy and have little bit of insight why don't you understand it's impossible to discuss these subjects? It's beyond me. It's hard to have discussion about all of this one on one let alone on a public message board. Whatever you know, keep it for yourself. It's not selfish, there is not any other way.
All you accomplished with this thread is trivializing the whole matter of Eastern philosophy.
