The Tao of Minimalistic Trading: $300 Daily Profit

From now on, if you ever have a drawdown larger than 15 points, I'm going to treat your trades as bogus. If you have the stomach that large to withstand the pain, then you better post your exact stop in advance, long before it gets to that level.
what?? B1S2 has draw downs into the muliples of this?

unfair; your a scalper don't paint the rest of us with your brush

My hunch is that once we penetrate below 1945, we swoon down to 1900. We'll then bounce and retest the 1945 area again before heading lower. Only time will tell, I guess. Anyway, good trading y'all.

It's really tragic that I lack the balls to stick with my own plan. But what a great call. LOL :D :finger:

The funny thing is that for something like this to even be profitable, he would have to sometimes pull a rabbit out of a hat and get 50 points out of this trade. Anyone willing to take a hit of 15 points in the ES, and his was even worse when you add up all the contracts, will have to be trading a much larger time frame. In order to make up for the few times that he might hit a stop of 15 or 20 or 25 points, he will need wins of equal or great value at least 50% of the time or whatever his stats tell him. (I'm of course kidding myself when I assume he has even thought of all this)

Your stats clearly show this with your average win being bigger than an average loss. Of course one doesn't even need a high win rate, but then the R:R ratio better be quite high. But this dude though, he's just full of it.

Then clearly state your stops if you believe you'll have drawdowns larger than 15 points.

Look, my daily profit target is set for 6 ES points and you are/were down more than 20 points. Are you here to kill the integrity of this thread?!!

Well, so did I at that point. I got hit twice in a row with -2.50 and -3 points. But here's the complete story. What I neglect to mention were the winner before those trades, namely 3.75 and 0.50 points.

Anyway, as Stewie mentioned above, I rarely look at my P/L before the day is up. It's too much distraction.
Good policy, focus on the trading not the money.

Can you keep this thread clean with ES trades only?

My question would be why is your journal suddenly the new ES Journal? This was a better journal when it was you posting your trades. Why not politely ask others who want to post their trades to respect that this is your journal with an explicit purpose and ask them to start their own journals?

schiz has best journal here...why...no avg guy can withstand a b1s2 drawdown.

shiz gets in and out quik, and avg guy is not scared off.

even though his profit is suspect, all about appearances

schiz has best journal here

Yes, I agree he does have the best journal going at the moment. But it is becoming less so the more you post to it and here is why: schizo's journal has a stated specific purpose & goal. Your trading (by your own admission in several posts today) has nothing in common with schizo's stated trading plan. So your posts are undermining the quality of this journal because what makes it a quality journal is its consistent pursuit of a specific goal. Why not start your own journal to showcase whatever it is you are trying to accomplish?
