The switch to communist economy.

In 5 years it'll be safer to drive your car in "self-drive" mode than driving the car yourself.
Quote me in 5 years & I'll find the data. :)

In 1933, preacher William Branham said he had a vision of an egg shaped car going down the road without a steering wheel and the seats faced each other and the occupants faced each other and appeared to be playing a board game or some such.

Well you know; sometimes you guys are wrong. Just sayin.
Say whaaaaat? Why do Americans think that communism is even in the same frikkin' solar system as their political landscape? Pavlov's dogs? For the avoidance of doubt the US is as far from ever being communist as it is from being launched en masse to Mars. The politics of the far right are just risible, and their time has ended.

MOST likely it will be safer ;
for insurance profits+ that's the capitalist way. Safer for drivers?? WELL cruise control works well[mostly/LOL] but that's with a human driver, that pays attention. WHO knows, the insurance companies may come up with ''safe driver discount '' for some brands of ''self drive'':caution::caution:

Do you think the communists will ever have this?

once robots replace jobs what do we do with the surplus human population? Would we need to manage them like coyotes? Every so often helicopters fly by and shoot the excess population?

Not sure what you're driving at. But self-driving cars are a big waste of R&D time and money. Like autonomous emergency braking. And both point towards depriving the individual of the practical abilities to travel.

You can mark this post....

Depending how old you are, you will see flying cars in our lifetime.

Infrastructure spending on roads and bridges is the biggest waste of money of all time.
I'm not saying it's going away, our interstate system will always remain intact, as will our rails... but you are being very short-sighted with regards to what is coming down the pike.

5G, 6G whatever.... "the network"..... if you want to go to Krogers or wherever, you will back your lightweight, electrically powered, drone-like vehicle out of your garage, punch in where you want to go, and then not touch a thing. "The network" will get you there safely with no risk of any type of airborne collision or anything else. 100% hands-off.

I know it sounds crazy, but its gonna happen.
30 years tops.
