Let's just stick to the facts here, muslims immigrate to the west in vast numbers but americans and westerners do not immigrate to muslim countries by anywhere near the same amount. No delusions about that, even many muslims agree that the US is a better place.

yes, there are some severely draconian laws in place in a lot of Islamic (and other) countries but in Malaysia, they practice religious freedom and they have missionaries in Turkey, Jordan, Syria and as far as i know, UAE so the "kill you for atheism" is more an exception than a rule. yes, saudi arabia is ass backwards. besides, we here in the states have the highest rate of incarceration in the world and still cook people in the electric chair every now and again, some of them later proven innocent so throw your stones only when no one else has stones to throw at you.
true, muslims and mexicans immigrate here much more than americans go there but
1. most americans only speak english and if they ever even make it to canada, let alone europe for vacation, they are on the cutting edge of exotic cultural experience (i.e. they are provincially minded chicken shits) and
2. of the many foreigners i have spoken with in their country and the immigrants i know, they are here for the money and almost all immigrants wish they were back in their own country but the money keeps them here.

thing is, they are just architectural structures, it is the zealots that misinterpret the primary tenets of what is taught in each religion that cause the problems.
