Maybe the whole time you talk about millionaires who got rich overnight, IRS cheats, drug dealers, criminals.?Nobody shows off as millionaire driving a BMW 7 series. But then they also don't live next to that interstate overpass...if your life is endangered driving a 100k car then maybe that speaks more to the neighborhood you are living in perhaps...

I think you complely miss the fact that only a minority of people like showing off wealth, unless its a good investment that they cant hide like a house
 
A 100k car is not showing off for someone who has 1 or 2 or 5 million in tbills, a house without debt, and other investments. Different worlds - > different perspectives

I considered myself rich once I could afford to buy Heinz baked beans instead of supermarket own brand. Same for cornflakes. It’s all relative I suppose.

True, we all are rich or poor depending on how we presently live our lives and what standard of lifestyle we aim for or dream of. What we have, many don't.
