Quote from marketsurfer:

.... we FINALLY nailed a very nice down wave in the DJIA. it is uncanny the way the old upper neo gann line @ 10523 broke, the index rallied back, touched the line and just dropped back into the uncharted time/ price abyss. we are holding shorts here.
best,

surfer :D
Another member emailed me and asked me to take a look at the recent break 'surf caught. I took the time to do so and also read a bit more of the previous posts to see why 'surf said "FINALLY."

Talk about uncanny!!! Take a look at the following two charts. Not only will you see the same thing on these charts using price crossing a simple moving average as a trigger, ie., periods of chop followed by a nice break, but if you take the time to look back and compare 'surf's notes, profit potentials on the indices, etc., you will see a high degree of correlation between the charts posted using common sma's.... and neo-gann. The bottom "line" is... any line will do as long as the instrument you're trading has a tendency to make nice wide swings.

Continue good luck trading the lines marketsurfer, whether they are straight like yours, or curved like mine.

For the record, I have my hands so full with individual equity positions and learning some new options strategies that I don't have one nickle in place on an index trade.

So you are the one that deserves the congrats. Just call me chartboy.
