tough short, us dollar looks bottomed, gold looks topped, strongest seasonal week of the year. good luck though hope it works out for you.
Yep, I did. Closed long @ 48.25, was no longer confident in uptrend, expecting that top to finally pop.
I should have just stayed with my statement from this morning, namely:
My #1 trading rule : Always go where the volume is.
Usually never violate it. I also violated :
My #2 trading rule : The trend is your friend.
I violated both rules. Guess I got a little intoxicated by the boldness of various bears around here.
Enough said. I violated my highest trading rules and deserve punishment!
I opened my first long at 43.25, which made me 5pts to start with. I'm still short with a 4pt stop (52.25), if I close out, I'll be net 1pt and go home. So what. Pays the bills & lifestyle. Tomorrow is another day.

i think we're just a tad bit over 4.50 now.
The reason I said that is because I haven't done longer swing trading for a long time, I.e. focused on scalping for quite a long time, which I can do very well. I realize I have to get used to longer term trades again, since long swings are coming back.
