as traders it is crucial for us to move beyond the numbers when ascertaining public sentiment. my latest bit of research is comparing pre 9-11 attack advertisements to post 9-11 advertisements. i have compared and contrasted popular magazine, radio and tv ads--- i see NO DIFFERENCE. i find it very fascinating that an event of such magnitude could occur and the best marketing minds in the world still use the same triggers to get the public to buy. my conclusion from this ad hoc research study is that the market is extremely resilient and it is VERY possible that we see NEW HIGHS in the DJIA within 2 years.

My perception of this would be one of complacency rather than resiliency of the market, the marketing minds and the public.

yeah, is it better for the market to burnout than fade away ??

i would call it resilency within complacency.

complacency is good in the midst of a 200 year BULL market.

the market has opened nicely with green across my screens. we are currently flat awaiting breakage of the neogann channel of 9127-- 9233 to enter.
