Umm, maybe your consecutive -33% loses in crox and wfc rained on your parade? Wow, i've seen excuses in my day, but you take the cake smurf. Blaming others for your horrible trades is pathetic!

EPrado--

Based on smurfs guarantee that RA wins the travers, I agree with you that her connections are now contemplating retirement. Plus, they also say it's either RA or Kensei, and we know they want to run Kensei in the Travers.

I must admit, smurf has rubbed off on me, and I was sure Munnings would upset RA in the Haskell. I made a smurf "excessive bet", and was crushed. So I may sit on the sidelines in the Travers. But good luck. Hey if there's an intelligent convo regarding the Travers here it will up smurfs views.

Actually I was kidding about the Surf and RA thing. But if he does think RA can't lose...well....then you know what to do.

I thought Munnings was a very good bet in The Haskell as the "lone speed" and the fact that Monmouth has a front runners bias.....that worked well for me huh?

I think Summer Bird's jock tried to do something completely different in The Haskell and took SB out of his preferred running style...a closer. The trainer said he is going back to being a one run closer in The Travers. That being said he still ran 2nd. I think he will offer good value because Quality Road, Mine That Bird, and Kensei will take more money. Also Charitable Man always gets bet as well. If you can get 5-1 on SB, go to the bank.

But if RA goes to The Travers, save your money...none of the 3 yr olds can touch her.

As far as Surf.........sure he drops names and thrives attention...but he's a good guy in my book........even though his views on trading are some of the most flawed views I have ever read.

Trust me......once he calls out a trade that is well enough in the money he'll be back on here blabbing...he can't resist.

I wish I was on a simulator in June and July...lol.

I'm sorry...but I would rather listen to some guy who is trading one lots of E Minis than someone who doesn't back up a call with real money.

I have never met anyone who loses on a simulator...........

I know you were kidding about smurf and RA, but it was funny! smurf pm'd me he also bet niatross in the 80's when he was 1-20 and jumped the rail.

After watching the cheap speed give big brown all he could handle last year, I thought munnings was a great bet on top of RA. Heck--the payout was $23, and I was salivating at getting over 10 to 1 on what I thought was a 2 to 1 fair value. But now I see RA for what she is..unbeatable at 1 1/8. I'm a believer.

Like we discussed, I will go with you on SB in the Travers. Your analysis is right on the money--actually it is the best value post of this entire thread.

I'm sure they'll run Kensei and not RA (I still believe RA can be beat at 1 1/4), and Kensei is improving. This years travers is a very entertaining race.

Speaking of 1-20 shots losing. A friend of mine who bets every track that runs pointed out this gem to me. On Sat at some small track in California someone looking to make a quick 5% on a show bet on his 100 grand took a bath. The favorite ran dead last in a 5 horse field....check out the show prices....ouch.

Wow!

I remember being at Aqueduct in the early 80's (I was very young) and seeing a huge sum bet to show on a 1-5 horse in the feature sprint. So I bet $2 to show on Dr. Blum and incredibly I won $72. I'll never forget it. How people bet huge sums to show on any horse race is beyond me. Maybe smurf understands why people would do this. Smurf..thoughts?

Quote from marketsurfer:

due to several requests, i will post my daily nasdaq channel levels in this forum and our nasdaq index strategy for the day.
our current channel on the nasdaq composite is 1698 to 1757. we will enter shorts once 1698 is broken on the downside, go long above 1757 and stay flat in the channel. our system considers the upper or lower channel figures violated if the price move thru the figure by a FULL three minute candle. we are trading the nasdaq futures , qqq options, and the qqq based on this system. the system is currently FLAT.

all the best,

surf:cool:

smurf, a few questions about this post.

1) why all lower-case leters? even i is lower case

2) who is 'we' ? why do you say 'our'?

3) were there really 'several requests' or did you make that up?

Is it just me or does something not add up?

Actually the bridge jump show bet strategy is a very Neiderhoffer-like strategy. Surf would approve. You make giant wagers on huge favorites to make a small return. It works until it doesnt work.....then you lose everything.

I consider all bridge jump show bettors insane.
