Quote from marketsurfer:

we are betting this will be a "buy the rumor, sell the news" scenerio on the fed meeting. going into the YM here at 9340 short-- ALL IN, no scaling.

this is possibly a historic short set up---- YM SHORT 9340

best wishes,

surf

Surf,

Nice call and best to you with your trade.

thanks, RW. One of these days the bottom is going to fall out of the market. in my mind, its not if, its when.

stay alive,

surf

ps. gonna celebrate with a davidoff millenium blend. enjoy!

Good call so far Surf........you might want to wait until you get out of that trade before celebrating. It aint a winner until you take the profits......even if the profits are on a simulator.

9117 is the critical line, located by our software, in the sand for the YM at the close----close sub this figure expect additional selling tomorrow, above it, who knows.....

Well when smurf states he blows out on two separate occasions but still continues to make calls how could you not assume he is basically living a fantasy world of a desk jockey making magic calls from his HAL 9000 computer.

Only rookies celebrate a one day move and ignore those days where the long held position goes horribly against them.

What is worse, Smurf or the minions who follow like he is the 2d coming of Hershey.

HAL 9000.....LOL....nice.

It's obvious he isn't trading real money. For all the reasons you stated. What's scary is Surf comes across as some new kid who never traded before (celebrating a position when it initially goes his way....etc), not some older guy who has followed the markets for years.

I guess Surf made back all the money he lost on his GS call before earnings. (Exited his simulator....re-logged in and the losses were gone perhaps? )

Gotta love Surf.......rips on trend followers...guys who use TA.....then has some "big" short call on GS. His basis on the call? A buddy of his who fed him wrong information on the earnings. He lost because of , as he said it , "bad luck". More like stupidity/being gullible.

One last thing Mike,

Surf does have a HUGE following........they all fade his calls. Some very wealthy people in that club. He is batting .995 on being wrong.

The aggressive selling continued on the first day of the week. Deep seated fears that the recovery is built on a shaky foundation and consumer spending concerns drove shares sharply lower. After the initial opening sell off, stocks struggled in vain to regain footing while the VIX fear gauge held onto most of its gains. The DJIA spiked down 186.06, the tech heavy Nasdaq was slammed 54.68, and the broad based S&P 500 cracked the 1000 support level falling 24.36.
