following = people surf is following

followers = people who deeply respect surf and therefore are following him :)

I'm going to start a website and call it . . . "www.ihavealife.com" and everyone that doesn't sign up to be continuously bombarded by text messages . . . has a life.

This was my lame attempt at humor not an insult.

Real communication isn't evolving, it's becoming a lost art form.

I don't think we should be discussing "real communication" on a virtual forum :)

Oh, I agree but the constant bits and fragments of information is no replacement for deep complex thought and communication.
I know Twitter has a use and can even see and understand the application in trading . . . for those that "need" direction that is. If you can provide that piece of the direction some individuals need, more power to you. It would be definately a better tool in swing trading or position trading than intraday trading. There is more than enough distraction there already.

Great luck to you Surf.

How very trendy of you.

Quote from TMcKenna:

You have just described yourself smart ass. What are you doing here anyway, if you don't find any value in Surf's posts go ahead and create your own thread.
For example, this:
"I am frustrated paper trader and i enjoy attacking others"

What am I doing here? Trying to prevent sheep from being lead off a cliff. Believe it or not there are plenty of newbies here who do fall for this stuff and wind up losing real money that they can't afford to. Surf is not a trader, he's a journalist. Now he's the Pied Piper.

McKenna,

Do I really even need to comment any further on your trading abilities? After all you did post the following:

Try this .... buy Msft calls and average down forever... when they start going up you can bank $10.000 with every tick up..
think about it...

and let's not forget this gem:

I kept buying the best companies and averaged down forever.... too bad they turned up too soon because I was ready for much more... my stop loss was at DOW 3000 and s@p 400, but we never got there....

If this is the best you got after 15 years of trading, then Surf alerts just might be for you.
