greetings,

its sunday evening and we just experienced one of the nicest days here on the east coast in quite awhile. spent the afternoon reading "practical speculation" by vic niederhoffer, listening to steely dan, and smoking a phat cigar in the courtyard enjoying the 65 plus degrees.

as you know, we are currently flat after closing the largest long position of my trading life at a profit. our brother, candletrader, points out in his chit chat post that war may very well occur within 72 hours. when (if) it begins, be prepared for a VIOLENT move on the upside. at the first hint that bombs are dropping, i will go long in a big way. just activated news services for this very purpose. untill this happens, will be trading mechanically off the earlier stated neogann channels.

lets go do what happens,

if you were "trading mechanically off the neogann channels" that you've been waiting for for TWELVE YEARS wouldn't you still be LONG & STRONG on your convictions? Now you're FLAT waiting on "war news"/ LOL is this "gann", trading off 'war news"??

our lower neo gann figure of 7777 is holding the DJIA here. we came within 2 points of figure and was rejected upward. still FLAT in the channel.

we are closing all longs here. unusual technical pattern emerging in DJIA. taking profits after catching a nice nice eve of war rally. i believe there to be ample time tomorrow to re -enter at lower levels.

I would phrase it somewhat differently. A trader needs confidence and conviction, but not the tendencies of grandiose thinking.
