Interesting timing....how will this affect the election ?
Clearly, many boomers holding IRA and 401k accounts are likely to be in a terrible mental (and financial) state if they haven't sold by then. So they are likely to vote for whomever says "I can fix this mess".

in my opinion, the election is going to be a slight win for mc cain with lots of ambiguity, threats, and legal action from the otherside. the ambiguity leading up to the election will cause havoc in the market, however, once its settled, should see a small rebound.
