Hey Surf,

I was not able to see the lanes that the poster was referring to with containers but this is what I am aware of through my experiences.

Asian to North america lane is full and bookings this time of year take about 14 -20 days advance reservations with contract or longer without(about normal)

North America to Europe is about 20-30 advance reservations, normal

North America to Asia, the next boat leaving dock will take your container, about half the cost as the ships are 1/2 - 2/3 empty (or worse)

Africa to anywhere is easy and cheap as the place consumes way more than they ship out

Where do you get your info? We run OOCL and you cant order a ship or container for 2-3 months as they are all full. this is the biggest US exports we have ever seen and the weak $ has helped. Quite the oposite to what you said above.
 
the lower channel line of 12597 was touched but not broken by the 3 minute rule. maintaining flatness in the YM. its amazing to see the channel, within the 3 minute rule, act as support to the market confirming itself.

We have contracts with Hyundai and Evergreen.

Perhaps we are just in different lanes or your contract is different??? I am guessing you didn't sign a contract with a set amount of cans which will put you in the back of the bus

The only cans that are really tough that I am aware of is refers going from N amer to asia. chinese sure luvin our chicken feet.
