Quite so. One should remain accessible for those pesky margin calls.

to answer your question Tdog, which was inexplicitly deleted--

im not going to go into the details, but it's based on total account size and not on a per trade basis. yeah, this trade is terrible and a mistake, but it's still within my parameters of overall portfolio heat.

remember, it's being balanced by almost nailing of the top in OIL and still holding--just to mention one trade that has been documented on the surf report in near real time.

How can a trade that you yourself described as a terrible mistake remain "within your parameters?"

portfolio parameters, not trade parameters.

understand the difference?

:D
So your "portfolio parameters" allow for the holding of terrible mistake trades? And what could possibly be the justification for continuing to hold on to a trade that you yourself described as a terrible mistake? Hope, perhaps?

Please answer.

Yes, I don't understand that either. Obviously MS refers to a bad entry, so does he mean to say that his method still indicates a decline and it being still within risk management he continues to hold through a substantial drawdown?

Your targets must be huge to sustain this sort of drawdown.
