Says the man who uses cold fusion in his trading setups ... :D

Oh man, good luck to you guys.

Really, I mean it. :)

JJ
It was Anekdoten who first jokingly mentioned cold fusion when he asked me about my trading:

To which I jokingly responded as "confusion."

http://www.elitetrader.com/vb/showthread.php?s=&postid=1668961&highlight=cold+fusion#post1668961

Were you the only one who didn't get the joke? Or is that just all you got?

Quote from JimmyJam:

If that is true, then you don't have to pay attention to our diatribes, now do you.

According to your half-baked logic, we're just two paper traders shooting barbs at each other ... so:

a) You're a big-time trader
b) Arguing with a paper trader
c) Who is arguing with a papertrader

Before I was just giving you payback for calling me a twerp, but it looks like you really are an assclown, aren't you?

JJ

Your logic is frightening.

As far as your little question. Not a Big Time trader...but have been around long enough (most likely a hell a lot longer than you) to notice your kind. You go around telling everyone what they should be doing , but yet you are some paper trader/small fry.

You are an annoying littlw twerp who seems to show up everywhere.

C'mon man, I was trying to be nice.

You have just publicly stated what I have known all along ... that you are confused about your trading, which is why you were on Anekedoten's thread in the first place ... looking for help. :D

Really T-Dog, thanks for the clarification.

I'm not telling Surf what he should be doing, I'm saying he's a lying paper trader.

As far as Thunder Dog's statements are concerned, as we see, the guy is confused and really needs a lot of help, so you shouldn't be angry with me for trying to explain money management, using leverage skillfully and the importance of quitting while you are ahead when trading to him.

Oh, and BTW genius, the time that you put into trading does not determine your skill level at it ... or at anyting else for that matter.

Really. The time you put into trading has nothing to do with where one is at? You are clearly a confused little paper trader/one lot guy.

Good luck with things small fry.

How amusing that you would characterize me as looking for help when you previously accused me of only doing things my own way and not accepting the wisdom of others. Just another example of you not being able to follow your own string.

And this from a professional follower: there's Jack Hershey, whom you adore, then there is that woman trader you said was really good at training people, and so you delighted us with a link to her web site, and so on and so forth ad infinitum.

No, it doesn't.

Look at the time Market Surfer has put into his trading.

Look at the time Thunder Dog has put into his trading.

Look at the time someone like Franz Shoar (not putting them in his category, even I wouldn't do that) has put into his trading ... obviously there is not a direct correlation between the time spent trading and one's skill level. :D ... :D :D :D

Of course there are gonna be some guys who have traded for a long time and are not very good. Just like there are newbies who are completley clueless.

I think that if you look at the big picture, people who have been around (survived) fair much better than people with little experience.

You obviously are lacking in experience.

Nope.

Skill is a result knowledge, perception and facility (natural talent). Time/experience are not a factor in the equation, we human beings just need them to keep learning the same lessons over-and-over again.

If a pro shows you the ropes, you're going to be up-and-running in about 6 weeks.

If you figure it out for yourself, it may take you anywhere from 2 to 4 years, and even then (as we have seen here at ET), that is not guarantee of success.

Ultimately, there is no guarantee that anyone is going to "get it" or not, ever.

(Sincerely) good trading,

JJ
