im not 100% sure what you mean.... my broker requires margin of 2813.00 per YM contract for overnight holds. 10 contracts = 28130.00 and so on. day trading is 500.00 per contract. not sure what you mean by leverage in this regard.

As for your "utterances," shouldn't you be flattered that someone is actually reading what you write rather than just praising you indiscriminately? Or are you only in the market for sycophants? You see, when I do read your posts, I really do read them. So, you may wish to be a bit more careful about what you write. If you read enough of my posts, you will see that I do not, in fact, follow you everywhere. But when I see a "kick me" sign on someone's back, notably yours, well...I only have so much self-control...

Not the margin, but how many dollars per contract. Let's say if you use 1 contract for each 10K or so. (in this case the leverage expressed in the usual terms would be 1:7, since the value of the contract is around 70K)
With futures the P&L is one thing but what really determines the outcome is the leverage used.... If you don't overleverage you can withstand signifficant DDs....
