miners are rocking & gold/silver only up modestly. i wonder if the miners are leading the metals, & USD gets kicked to curb again. lots & lots of BOs in minerland.

thanks for the observation. yes... quite possible.

Yes, Blackguard missunderstood it...

...have some profits been temporarily returned? YES.

Some. In this case about 98% got returned but hey now I am short too from 1541, so let's see how the next week plays out!

Good luck for both of us and have a fun time at the beach!

in an attempt to clarify any disinformation.....this trade was entered at an average of 13731 YM. I understand the previous comment.... however it may be unclear to others. this trade is not a massive loser from entry.... have some profits been temporarily returned? YES.

regards from the pool

13731 to 13715 ... if you cash'em in you'd still have enough for dinner.

we are continuing to hold shorts here despite serious flack from some outside the surfshack. the analysis has not changed and yes, this is tough at times. still convinced of severe down wave coming soon which will dwarf the last one. TA practioners will see what looks like a textbook triple top in the DJIA daily now....this may just be the start as we speak--- we will see.

best wishes, surf

Just a quick question...I'm not a technician however....in the case of the SPX while we have a triple top we also have a nice looking W...isn't THAT considered bullish?

good point RR. hence the nebulous and slippery nature of pattern TA--if it goes up the technicians will say W Bottom, if it goes down---clearly a Triple Top.

Seriously, I believe it depends on where in the cycle these patterns form-- at the all time high--- I tend to believe its a Triple Top--- at the lower range it would be a W bottom---- perhaps a TA practioner could shed some light as to what is the generally accepted understanding. thanks!

Yes, RR, it was considered bullish, and played-out for a gain of 350pts YM.

Now, as Surf has mentioned, the triple top is in play until price closes higher than oh say, 13700.

As you know I am one of those TA people. Can you please tell me what a "textbook triple top " is. I have never hard of that.

I see 13760 potentially failing to breaktrough 13813 which to me, a TA perfectionist, is a Short signal but only as soon as it is confirmed, which it hasn't yet.
