Quote from Allmighty1:

I see. So you would rather not disclose the name of the institution (and that's fine). I am a graduate of Cal Berkeley. Interestingly we don't make the distinction you have, calling your school an east coast research university..I don't think I have ever heard a school characterized that way..Can I ask what degree you took?

A research university consists of faculty members who do more research than teach. They are compensated based on their research and publications, whereas a college, where the faculty’s main priority is teaching and not research, is not considered a research university.

I didn’t “take” any degree, but I have earned a few within finance. :p

Quote from Allmighty1:

Well "Anna";

You have spent most of the last couple of posts evading my questions. You don't wish to indentify your institution, you don't wish to disclose the specific degree(s) you have earned, and "coincidentally" your research cannot be disclosed either.

Based on these responses, unfortunately it seems clear that you are either an alias, or an active collaborater with Marketsurfer, either of which would entirely discredit him, not only in my view, but in that of virtually any other person of character.

Marketsurfer, at this point, I will stop posting. Frankly I wouldn't feel comfortable being part of the masquerade. Having this post as part of your thread should serve to warn anyone who may be inclined to take you seriously.

Goodbye

You’re first two statements about the institution and degrees are valid. I don’t wish to post personal information on a public message board nor do I think it has ANY relevance or application to the subject matter. I’m surprised someone who calls himself “Allmighty” would expect anyone to post this information. As for your third statement, had you read more carefully, you would have known that I am NOT talking about my own research.

Furthermore, any alias would have answered your university question with Yale or Harvard. The fact that you overlook that says more about your character than mine or surf’s.

exactly, JJ thanks for the visual--very nice! yes, the trade is about 100 pips from breakeven here--- still within the parameters, expecting nice profits. staying short.

ps. sweet short entry!

Are you still short EUR/USD?

hi wittgenstein---a favorite philosopher.

yes, i am holding shorts--- i'll give this trade up as a loser if 1.3607 breaks on upside.

interesting article I came across last nite while twiddling my fingers at work:

EUR/USD Analysis

It goes into the use of Fibonacci Time intervals, Elliot Wave and even has a comment about the COT report.

It also finishes with an argument for it breaking to the upside, but the last sentence makes the statement that "In summary, the EURUSD may chop higher but the risk of a violent reversal is high." (Surf's trade de rigeur :D )

In closing, it's showing a nice TBRD (triple bearish divergence) on my chart.
