good afternoon,

whoa !!! what a rally !!!! we projected this occuring yesterday (see post) but did not expect this extreme strength. it is so vertical it is almost scary. as you know, we closed all shorts at 9:50 am and are currently FLAT.

the wheel is indicating that the neogann nasdaq channel has shifted---- currently it is 1303 to 1217 in the composite. we will be going long above, shorting below and FLAT in the death channel.

we will be mechanicaly following the system today from the channel---1303 to 1217 in the nasdaq composite. the citibank situation should keep things interesting--thanks inandlong !!

wow, another volatile day. the nasdaq approached the lower channel figure of 1217 today, missing the figure by a mere three points and then rocketed up again to the 1260 level, ending the day at 1240. we are flat here still awaiting a break of the neogann channel to execute. this market is fanastic trading for the modified bollinger system, and standard 20 period sma price cross over day trading methods. we have been actively trading msft, c, intc using these techniques.

this volitility is classic and totally normal during a protracted bear trend particullarly near the end of such a move. where we actually bottom, no one knows. enjoy these move while the equity market still has them...

For those who are new to, or unfamiliar with surf's "wheel"ings and dealings, I can speak from the poinf of view as someone who has followed the "wheel"speaks for the past 3 years or so.

It works. It will not make you rich quick, it will catch the big moves for the most part, and it will keep you out of the danger zones of indecisive markets.

You have to be patient with it during times of very choppy narrow ranges, as you will likely lose money during these periods of trading in and out of the channel. That is the challenge. However, if anyone meets that challenge, they will be a winner in the long run.

good evening (sunday),

today i saw a nun driving a bentley (about 280k). everytime i see something like this, i start thinking about our culture and way of life. it is my belief that conspicuous consumption, you know, the 100k cars, the 25k watches, the 3 million dollar homes--will soon be viewed with disdain by the vast majority of the population. instead of being goals, the public will view these objects with profound hatred and those who possess them as part of the "old" way. this include the many who aspire to material success. the times may really be a-changing... be ready for anything !

as you know, we are currently flat across the board entering the open on monday. we will be mehanically trading the indexs off of the channel figures.

our system placed us long the nasdaq index when 1303 was violated in the composite. we are currently long the qqq and futures.
