wow what a day it was !! our nasdaq system fired shorts at 1357, we were immediately stopped out, then again shorts were fired when 1357 was violated on the downside. we rode a nice wave downward, but failing to take profits when they were handed to us with trailing stops, we watched and waited holding the shorts as the market exploded upwards. we finally closed the short position with a small loss on the day. the lesson learned, ALWAYS UTILIZE TRAILING STOPS WHEN TRADING THE SYSTEM--!! locking in a profit--today could have been huge.

we are currently flat with 1403 being the go-long number in the nasdaq composite. tomorrow should be another wild day !!

good afternoon,

the upper channel figure of 1403 was briefly violated earlier, but not enough to trigger entries--- currently flat. a double top appears to be forming right at the 1400-03 level on the three minute chart. remember the figure has to be violated by a full three minutes in the direction of the breakage to trigger entries.

the gap up this morning thru the upper channel figure negated it as a go long number. we are currently flat and waiting for a signal. should we drop back thru 1403, we will SHORT, should 1427 be taking out on the upside , we go LONG. gap strategy in full effect.

yeah !! we caught a nice nice downwave in the nasdaq from 1403 today. our trailing stops closed the position with an adequete profit. as the composite approached 1403 on the upside and failed to break thru, shorts were entered again and we are currently short the nasdaq index going into thursday morning. this volatility is awesome !! lets hope it continues.
