right now its 10333, did you forget to get stopped out?

I believe you should have been stopped out arounhd 11:15
when it retested the previous high and broke, I Would have gotten there

correct. the system would have been stopped out, however, i made the decision to over-ride and stay SHORT here.

I'm also waiting to go short, but my short point would be : below yes at least: 10211

I was going to go long today as well, but it didn't confirm right and my stock picks had an army of 100 share buyers so that didn't help either.


the buyers around 10:30 to 12:00 today sure didn't look healthy to me.

It is a sad thing to see you to be down by 110 points because of overriding your strategy, nevertheless it is a good learning exercise for others...

Trade the market not your expectations. Dave, you usually stick to your strategy so nicely, why exactly were you so bearish this time???

yes, i made the decision to stay short and am curently down 86 points in the DJIA. i am holding short into tuesday.

hi cool,

when i have strong evidence that the initial system entry is correct, i will occasionally override the system staying in a trade.

keep in mind, my risk parameters are never jeprodized, even when the system is overriden.

it happens very rarely.

enjoyed your post on the other thread.
