The Surf Report--part 2

Quote from EPrado:

Believe it or not, a lot of traders I have run across over the years feel that this approach is way too boring for them. Call me crazy, but I am not in the trading biz for the action (for that I go to the racetrack or the casino). While sitting in front of screens some days and not doing one trade is rather boring, to me, it must be done.

It's like if you sit at a blackjack table, and had the choice of bypassing the hands every time the dealer gave you a 15 or 16, but could play the hands every time you got a 20 and the dealer had a 6 showing, and put up much more money on those hands, what would you do?

That's kind of the way I look at trading. I feel that I have an excellent strategy that doesn't set up every day, but when it does I get very aggressive. I also have the benefit of not having to trade everyday or putting on those trades which are questionable.

I don't disagree Prado. This is actually extremely well stated by you. Not bad at all.

Surf likes to stir shit up, be in the spotlight. If his goal is to get people to post on here he's doing a great job. Not sure how that benefits him in the long run.

:D thanks--- you are ok for the most part, prado.

New bride and 33million placed in various investments to start.......All a derivative of surf report contacts/readers.......

Not bad, for a fun thing to do anyway....

:D :D

Thanks. I tend to look at the big picture, and try not to get too caught up in short term performances of the trades I do. Allows me to be very patient with what I do. I know that during the slow months if I can just be patient and sit on my hands, then catch the good months, in the end it all works out great.

Again...this is not easy to do.

:D :D

The 33 mil in investment money is nice.

The bride part..........get back to me in 3 yrs.

Quote from eudaemon:

Do you have a pre-nup ?

Hahahhaha, the 33 mill isn't mine. It's just how much capital I was able to refer to various investments--From my contacts on elite---- a very small fraction of it stayed with me, however :D

I disagree..... Ask baron, he met her.

:D

My comment wasn't targeted at your wife. It was marriage in general.

I am sure she is a great woman. To say she wants to spend the rest of her life with you..............................she sure is special :D

No doubt!

Holding shorts here --- break-even on trade is possible this session.

This trade is not over yet, and the year isn't even 50% down--- let's have some patience...

You are right. If you manage to close this position even slightly in the green, that will take the Journal's P/L up to ~30 pts. Maybe not crazy good, but depending on your leverage, not so bad either. (let's say 1 car per 10K that is 15% for 5 months)

And you only have to catch one really nice move per year, to beat the market and the average investor....
