The Super Terrific Happy Hour

was looking to short NVDA at 152 area where my cross hairs are lined up, but was playing it too safe on my entries, wanted 151.89, the first time, then 151.49 the second time, ended up missing both times, and i didnt want to chase it because its on SSR damn.View attachment 174513
You watch Max.... this son of a gun is gonna run through $152 before the close.
I wouldn't take it long... but I sure wouldn't short it today.
If it breaks down now. The top is in on this puppy

I thought the same thing as you but looks like right back to good old summer time chop. :D

Pretty big morning even though i did everything in my power to screw this all up, up about 1500 but it would have been a five figure day if i just knew how to hold shit. Both AMD and NVDA started out trying to go up, and got stuffed big time, NVDA at 154.50, AMD at 12.40 so ounce it went back through the lows was pretty confident they were going down.

First off NVDA, started it off just tiny with 50 shares, at like 152.25 or something, thinking i wanted to get in at 153.50-154 with a stop over 154.50 ended up taking another 350 at like 153.39 or something, and piecing out of the initial 50 shares i sold at the bottom, finished up about 600 on NVDA, but as always had i let it run would have been alot bigger.

Reason i wasnt sure About NVDA was because AMD was holding up around 12.20 and looking like it actually wanted to go up, so i was thinking they could both just reverse on me, totally effed this trade up.

AMD, same deal as NVDA, started out just tiny, thinking i was hoping to get something over 12.30 to short with a stop out over 12.40, but I didnt know if it would get there so shorted the first 500 at like 12.19, added another 1000 at .26, then added 8500 over .30 ended up with a .29 average on it, this one really pissed me off, cause it was what ruined me on NVDA too.

It just kept on bouncing off of 12.20 and running right back up to 12.30 so i was thinking AMD wanted to go up, and i knew if AMD went up NVDA was going to catch the bottom too, i had enough shares on it i only had to exit at like an average of 12.23 and it was a six hundred dollar trade, but had i held it should have been an easy 2-3k trade.

Story of my life, another AMD Fiasco where i was sized in huge, but missed the majority of the move.

Last but not least MU, at this point all of the big tech names that had puked in the morning were starting to put in big V bottoms, but MU hadnt gone up yet, so figured it was just late to the party.

Started off long with about 400 shares, and ended up getting up too 1200, then doubled up to get to 2400 shares, then it looked kind of ugly so i cut the position in half back to 1200, then re added when the bottom held, and got back to 2400, then took off half, back down to 1200 shares, then when i saw it was going for sure when it got back up too 30.97, i re-added back up to 2400 shares, then took it all off in the teens between 31.10 and 31.20, made about 300 bucks on it.

Once again had i held would have been a monster but i suck at trading, lol.

You think its a good idea to have size in three open short positions in the same sector at the same time? Or were you doing them one by one?
