The SSD Endurance Experiment... (they're all dead now)

Some SSD manufacturers bundle drive-cloning software with their drives. I've used Intel's and AOMEI to copy onto new SSD's. But beware that the cloned drive may not be 100% functional as the old drive. You may get some weird, unexplainable behavior from certain programs. I found the only way to ensure everything is running well is to reinstall the OS and programs

Interesting point. I've used cloning software on rotational drives with good success, but the manufacturer of the software was the same manufacturer of the target drive. In the case where you used Intel's software, was it to copy to an Intel SSD?

I haven't looked into this for a couple years, but last time I checked there was no drive controller that supported SSD's in Raid 1 due to lack of support for TRIM. All that may have changed in the last couple years, and that would be great. Which controller (brand/model) are you using?

I use an ASUS motherboard that has on board Intel RAID controller.

Almost always drive maker specific cloning software is functionally limited. If there are problems/issues, shouldn't be a surprise. Years ago I also used the cloning software which came with the drive... sometimes it worked, sometimes not.

Rather than relying upon such software, users should opt for more general cloning software... like Acronis, Macrium, AOMEI, or other.
 
I can tell that from all the life period of that SSD's which is like for example already sort of ten years or something like that it's really improved a lot and they are not broke itself after month or two or something like that really. Situation fixed and progress as well.
