The Sixth Dimension- Reaver's Trading Journal

I'm still here brothers.

Just taking a break, trying to not feed the trolls.

Been focusing on the trading hardcore these days.

Thanks for the info JJ and Cable. Compulsive, you crack me up as usual bro- assuming that's a demo of course! Thanks.

P.S. Cable, made in the shade means living the good life, everything's in place.

That's a relief, I thought it was something to do with mushrooms, kept in the dark and fed on shit

Oh yeah I'm living the good life alright, up at 6am to trade forex when I should be on a beach somewhere!

How about Trichet today, the President of the European Central Bank and he couldn't work the new microphones :D

Sounds like he's planning a big party to celebrate 10 years of the Euro.....

I am assuming you forgot to credit Kathy Lien's book chapter which by the way has not been realeased electronically.
:D :D

Here's the info I mentioned regarding the optimal TimeZones for trading the curriences.

Boy, the UK traders have made in a shade :D ... that's probably why we don't see cable trader around much, he's done with the BS and he's making bank.

No man, and she knows that shit gives me gas, boy was I pissed

You know what I was going to ask you, I saw Kathy Lien looking at some kind of currency comparison chart (similar in principle to heat maps) at the beginning of the last episode of Wall St Worriers, have you ever seen anything like that or know a way it could be done (overlay?), it might be useful. I've email her but not had a reply yet, probably won't hear back but it was worth a shot. On the other hand just looking at the chart again in a still photo it could just be bollinger bands and stuff.....

Sorry, maybe best to start a new thread to save messing up your journal.

Nope, I didn't forget as I didn't know anything about it.

What brought this about was that I've been keeping very late hours watching the EU for quite some time, and then, when Reaver started this Journal, it made me more aware of the CME curriences, so I started following the BP, JY and CD among others.

I had been a strict Financials/Notes trader before this time, and watching the currencies I noticed that they had extraordinary trends at certain periods of time (not the usual chop you get with the ES). I formed a hypothesis that certain time zones were more optimal for trading them, so I googled it and the electronic PDF that I uploaded is what came up (amongst many other hits).

Reaver was the one who orginally brought this information to my attention through this journal, so I was just returning the favor.

Thanks for pointing out that Kathy Lien of FXCM is the source of the information. She's a very prolific author and I have personally benefited from many of her presentations and other books she has written.

JJ

The info was much appreciated man.

Although the benchmark on FX books is really low, hers is one I have kept around. She goes over the fundamentals nicely apart from basic technicals.

I have been trading the GBP EURO AUD NZD mainly during news and need some serious sleep as I am on west coast.

Looking forward to reading more here..

Any thoughts on Aussie dollar here? Im short a few at .9404 and it looks like we could take it to at least .9000 but Im not for sure.

YT,

Hey brutha didn't notice this til just now. But luckily, the Aussie dollar didn't do too much today anyway.

Don't have a big opinion on it just yet, but it certainly looks like it could be ripe for a breakout below 9350. If price gets below that level and is accepted, we could be in for a decent size move.

I will look at it a little more in detail tonight.
