The Shorting of Frauds, Overhyped and Bankrupt Stocks Journal

I was up $4.5K shorting GNK today and decided to hold 6K overnight for the bk filling. The whole leak was a farce, the company made a cupom payment and the stock squeezed huge. Gave back almost all gains and finished with a small profit

Two lessons, never trust the Washington Post and never trust a PR that sounds pumpish or dumpish 'no chance they will file for bk', this is just crap that a short would say, nobody talks like that (unless they are short). The guy needs to be investigated
 
Haven't seen too much out there in the past week.
I just keep wacking every pop in PLUG and LIVE.

I'll try to update soon and might just start my own threak.

I'm still staying out of shorting listed stocks unless its a day trade and the stock is very extended. PLUG was a perfect example of this environment, it only topped out when a lot of shorts went broke AND it had a catalyst (Citron piece), before that it would just keep going. When you want to short these small caps that are going nuts, wait one more day, then wait a few hours, THEN it might be an good short but you have to take profits in the tank. Trying to ride for a big gain can be a costly mistake. Also don't add when you are underwater in these traders, its a sure way to have a huge loss
